Since the company’s inception in April 2001, Paul has guided business strategy for the BidClix Advertising Marketplace ad network and directed product development of the ActiveMarket technology.

Prior to BidClix, Paul launched and ran, a publisher of subscription based email newsletters.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In 1992 Paul completed the International Management Programme at Ecole Des Hautes Etudes Commercial (HEC), near Paris, France where he focused on international marketing and global commerce. Paul also holds a M.Phil. degree in the Economics and Politics of Development from Cambridge University, UK.

Paul left the Ph.D. program in Economics at Cambridge University to start Internet businesses, but tries to stay engaged academically. Paul’s research interests include international economic development, collective action theory, Institutional Economics, transaction costs and social network theory.
